Flapen cover for Toucan vs Flapen for Full-Service Amazon Management: a Flapen operator planning a launch budget with a printed timeline and a calculator

Toucan describes itself on its website as a global full service Amazon agency based in London, working across Amazon Ads, DSP, creative, and TikTok Shop. Flapen employs 50 operators, launches brands from zero, and moves the ACoS target with the product stage. Eight questions below separate the two models on the same terms.

The short version

  • Toucan states a full service scope on its site. Its headings name account management, Sponsored Ads, DSP activation, training, and TikTok Shop.
  • Its site carries an Amazon Ads Advanced Partner badge. The same page states it was a finalist for an Amazon Ads award.
  • No fee appears on the captured page. As of September 2026 the pricing model comes only by asking.
  • Flapen moves the ad target with the product stage. Aggressive at launch, efficient at maturity.
  • Flapen builds the brand before it runs the brand. Sourcing in Guangzhou, creative in Dubai, nothing subcontracted.

What Toucan says it offers

Every line below comes from one page on toucanecommerce.com, captured on 5 September 2026.

The page title names an Amazon and TikTok Shop agency covering the UK, US, Europe, and APAC. Its meta description states that the company helps brands grow through Amazon Advertising, DSP, Creative Services, and TikTok Shop Management. It also states that this is a global Amazon agency based in London.

One heading names a global full service agency and an Amazon Ads Advanced Partner, the badge captured with it. The page states the company was a finalist for an Amazon Ads award, and no founding year appears in the capture.

Four headings set out the service lines: Full-Service Account Management, Toucan Studios, Amazon Sponsored Ads and DSP Activation, and Consulting. Two more headings name Training and TikTok Shop as service lines.

A section headed Amazon Graphics Services carries a catalog of creative items. Its headings name Listing Imagery, Translated Listing Imagery, A+ Content, A+ Premium Content, and Translated A+ Content. Brand Store, Brand Story, Amazon Creatives, DSP Creatives, and TikTok Creatives sit in the same list.

One captured heading reads that an item has been added to your cart, and no price sits beside those items. No monthly fee, contract term, or notice period appears as of September 2026.

The markets its own text names are the UK, the US, Europe, APAC, and Australia. A country and region selector sits at the top of the page. Its remaining sections name the brands it has worked with, collect client comments, answer frequent questions, and point to support.

What Flapen offers

At BRANDED and Moonshot Brands I ran data and technology over 60+ acquired brands and signed the vendor invoices. Almost none of those reports showed the account behind its percentage.

Fifty operators sit on our payroll in Abu Dhabi and carry about 70 brands, about 1.4 each. Sourcing runs out of our Guangzhou studio, creative out of our Dubai studio, and our engineers write the software.

The price list runs from $800 a month at one product to $2,400 at five, and every tier carries the same 50+ services. You stay month to month on 30 days of notice and keep the account, the campaigns, and the creative. That whole package is what Amazon brand management means here.

Five steps run our system: market, product, traffic, plan, launch. No market under $2 million a year gets quoted. The product is engineered for 0.2 stars above the niche average.

Phase 1 then puts 200 units live on $5,000 to $10,000.

At the 2026-08-26 capture, our science page carried 193,753 niches scored and 4.8% of them passing. Four signals then decide whether a live product is scaled, fixed, or stopped: rating trend, return rate, conversion rate, and cost of customer acquisition trajectory.

Our operators run all of it inside tools we built, on the data layer 15,000 sellers a month use on our platform. The agents that take those actions ship next, trained on the SOPs our operators write.

Where Toucan may be the right fit

This section is about fit alone, drawn from what the company states it focuses on. TikTok Shop runs through its title, its headings, and its creative catalog. A brand selling on Amazon and TikTok Shop reads a stated scope for both.

Its own text names the UK, the US, Europe, APAC, and Australia. Translated listing imagery and translated A+ content sit in that catalog, which is what one catalog in several languages needs.

A brand we launched and run

Flapen built and launched Vora Bowl, which sells chilled serving bowls on Amazon, and manages the account today. Our Full Account Management team plans the ad spend, keeps the listings sharp, and reports the numbers every week.

The headline figure is 5.7% TACoS at scale. The outcome sentence reads: Record sales days on the most efficient ad account in the portfolio, with six-figure monthly targets carried on $5K of monthly spend.

How to test both of us

Most sellers arrive saying the same thing: I'm spending money on ads but don't know if it's working. So price the year first. Twelve months of ads at the $1,000 floor we recommend costs $12,000, against $9,600 of management at our one-product price.

The ad account is the larger line, and the ACoS target governs it. Send these six to everyone on your list, mine included.

  1. At what ACoS does a new product run, and at what ACoS does a mature one? Two numbers, or nobody owns the target.
  2. What does the fee cover, and what is billed on top? Ours covers every service, every tier.
  3. How many brands does my account manager carry? Ours carry about 1.4 each.
  4. Which people on my account do you employ, and where? Abu Dhabi, Guangzhou, and Dubai.
  5. What would make you tell me to stop spending on a product? Four signals, read over 60 to 90 days.
  6. On what notice can I leave, and what do I take? Thirty days, and all of it.

If Flapen does not clear your version of this test, do not hire us.

What most agencies will not tell you

This is one agency writing about another, so weigh the arithmetic and discount my adjectives. The monthly fee is visible, and it is not what decides your year.

For three months I once funded a product on hope, waiting for the ads to turn around. They did not.

The line nobody quotes you Cash
Phase 1 validation, 200 units $5,000 to $10,000
Launching one product properly $8,000 to $15,000
Three months of ads after the signals said stop $3,000

So price the capital and the stop rule first, then argue about the retainer.

Toucan alternatives

Strip the names away and there are four ways to buy this work. A full service team owns the whole account for a monthly fee, and a specialist runs one function. An in-house hire puts the knowledge on your payroll, and a platform leaves the doing on your desk.
