An agency for a Spanish-language account is hired on the same evidence as any other, with three additions. Which of the five traffic channels it runs on that marketplace, who writes in Spanish rather than translates, and which working hours overlap with yours. Local tax and registration rules stay with your own advisor.
The short version
- The store decides the channel mix. There are five traffic channels and most sellers run two, so ask which two are live on the Spanish store this month.
- Writing is not translating. Our content is produced in-house in English, German, Spanish, and French, and the search terms behind it are researched in the market.
- Distance shows up in the calendar. Ask which hours of your week overlap with theirs, then hold the answer against a written update every week.
- Access travels, ownership does not. A provider works through granted user permissions inside your own account, revocable by you at any time.
- Local rules stay with your advisor. Tax, company registration, and local requirements get confirmed with your advisor and inside your own account.
What sitting in different countries changes
Most sellers who search this way are already live, and they say a version of the same sentence: "My product is live but sales are not where they should be." The country in the query is almost never the cause. It is the filter a seller reaches for when the real question, who does the work, has no clear answer yet.
Three things move when the seller, the agency, and the store sit in different countries. The language a listing is written in moves, the hours for a live decision move, and the local paperwork moves. That last one belongs to your own advisor, never to an agency selling you management.
Everything else holds its shape. Validation is 200 units and $5,000 to $10,000 whichever store it runs in, with up to 4 products tested at once. The four signals that decide whether to scale, fix, or kill a product are rating trend, return rate, conversion rate, and cost of customer acquisition trajectory, read over 60 to 90 days.
| The decision | Moves with the country | Who owns it |
|---|---|---|
| Listing language and its search terms | yes | the writer, in market |
| Which of the five channels run there | yes | the agency, per marketplace |
| Overlapping hours and review cadence | yes | your calendar |
| Tax, registration, local requirements | yes | your own advisor |
| Phase 1, 200 units and $5,000 to $10,000 | no | you |
| What leaving costs, who keeps the account | no | the contract |

The checklist to put in writing before you sign
Send these six in one email to every candidate, mine included. A written answer is the one you can hold up in month three.
- Name the channels, store by store. Ask which of organic, paid, promotions, creator, and off-channel traffic run on the Spanish store today. Done properly, the reply names the channels, the month each started, and who runs them.
- Ask who writes the Spanish and where that person sits. Ours is produced in-house, in English, German, Spanish, and French, on keyword research restarted in the market. Done properly, you get a name, a sample that person wrote, and research that is not a converted list.
- Ask what would make them tell you to stop. The answer names rating trend, return rate, conversion rate, and cost of customer acquisition trajectory, over a window of 60 to 90 days. Done properly, the stop rule is written before any money moves.
- Ask which hours of your week overlap with theirs. Distance costs you only when a decision waits. Done properly, you get a cadence you can hold, and ours is a written update weekly with a live review every second week.
- Ask how account access is granted and taken back. Done properly, they work inside your account through granted user permissions you revoke at any time, and nothing sits in their name.
- Ask what leaving costs, in writing. Ours runs month to month on 30 days' notice, and you keep the Seller Central account, the campaigns, the creative, and a written handover. Done properly, the exit reads the same whether the team sits in your city or on another continent.
Run the same checklist on us
We sit in Abu Dhabi, with sourcing and quality control in Guangzhou and creative studios in Dubai, so from Spain we are the foreign agency too. 50 operators run about 70 brands by hand here, across all 23 Amazon marketplaces, with content produced in-house in four languages.
The research under a market call is 90 or more data points. We scored 193,753 niches at the 2026-08-26 capture and 4.8% passed.
Now score us on the six. If our answers on channels, on who writes the Spanish, or on what leaving costs come back thinner than a team down the road from you, hire that team.
What an agency in another country will not tell you
Three things go unsaid on a call about geography, mine included.
- A local address is not local knowledge. An office in the country tells you where the desks are, not which of the five channels is live on your account. The check does not change with the flag, and it is a written answer naming the channels.
- Nobody can price your tax and registration work for you, and nobody should try. Those requirements sit with your own advisor and get confirmed inside your own account. The check is a candidate who says exactly that instead of answering a local tax question in a sales call.
- The fee is rarely the biggest number in the deal. Ours runs $800 a month for one product to $2,400 for five, all 50+ services included, with no commission and no revenue share. The check is to read any quote next to your $5,000 to $10,000 validation budget, because that budget answers a question no retainer can.

One free thing to do this week, for the seller running one to three products at $5,000 to $30,000 a month. Send the title and the first bullet of your Spanish listing to a Spanish speaker you already know, and ask them what the product does. If the sentence they give back is not your product, you found the cost of translation before paying anyone to fix it.
To have that listing and the channels behind it read by an operator, request the free written audit that comes back with prioritized fixes inside 48 hours from Flapen.
