ABOUT FLAPEN
Flapen is an Amazon growth company. We launch and scale brands end to end — product research, positioning, creative, listings, and ads — for sellers who want to compete with operators far larger than they are. Every launch starts with our own research platform: proprietary market data that decides which niches are worth entering before a dollar goes into inventory.
Most Amazon brands lose on the shelf before anyone reads a word of their listing. Our work is to make sure that doesn't happen: sharper positioning, main images that earn the click, listings that convert the traffic they get.
- 300+ Amazon product launches run end to end
- Founded by an operator with 8+ years building and scaling Amazon brands
ROLE
We're hiring a Creative Strategist to own creative for a portfolio of client brands on Amazon. It starts before the listing: you define the brand from its target audience up — who it's for, what it stands against, how it looks and how it sounds — and every asset after that inherits it. You don't design and you don't edit. You decide what the creative says, to whom and why, and the angle, the test roadmap and the call on what we kill are yours.
What makes this different from a standard Amazon creative seat: you're building identity and conversion in the same job. Packaging and positioning are yours, and so is the main image that has to win a click against nine competitors in a grid. Then you have to prove it — CTR, CVR and ROAS, measured against the asset you replaced rather than argued from taste. This is for someone who has already carried a portfolio, not someone who wants to learn portfolio work on ours.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own creative strategy for a portfolio of client brands on Amazon — main image, secondary set, A+ content, packaging and video.
- Define each brand from its target audience up: who actually buys, what they're deciding between, and the objection that kills the sale. A working document, not a persona deck.
- Set the identity that follows from it — logo direction, packaging, palette, tone of voice, and the claims we lead with.
- Write the briefs the creative team builds from — angle, hook, proof, objection, reference — specific enough that nobody has to ask a follow-up question.
- Run the A/B testing roadmap: hypothesis and kill number written before launch, winner called from the data, and a readout that says what we keep and what we kill.
- Direct the organic Instagram creative for the brands you run — the same identity, cut for a feed instead of a listing. Paid social is a separate seat and inherits the brand rules you set.
- Mine the inputs nobody else has time for — reviews, competitor gaps, category conventions — and turn them into angles worth testing.
RESULTS
- First briefs shipped and live accounts owned inside 30 days.
- Every brand in the portfolio has a current identity and messaging framework the whole creative team works from.
- No brand goes a full month without a live test. Every test carries a hypothesis and a kill number written before launch, and a recorded result whether it wins or dies.
- CTR and CVR improve on the accounts you own, measured against the control the asset replaced — and ad ROAS improves with them.
- Nothing runs quietly. Losing creative is replaced on the schedule it was given, and no finished test sits unread.
- Briefs stand on their own — the creative team starts building without a clarification call, and revision rounds drop over time.
- Creative decisions trace back to a stated hypothesis and a measured result, not to opinion. The brief queue runs without founder review; readouts and real escalations are the only things that come up.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years owning Amazon creative strategy for multiple brands at once, at an agency or independently, with the listings and the results they produced available to show.
- Has built a brand identity from nothing, not just executed inside someone else's — positioning, packaging and visual system for a product that had none.
- Diagnoses from metrics, not taste. Given CTR, CVR and ROAS you can say whether it's an image problem, an offer problem or a traffic problem — and you know a winner called from two weeks of thin traffic is noise.
- Writes clearly under pressure, with briefs you can send us. Most of this job is writing, and a brief that needs a call to explain is a failed brief.
- Self-directed and async. You commit to positioning without waiting for a sign-off.
BONUS POINTS
- Hands-on with Amazon split testing — Manage Your Experiments, Splitly or PickFu.
- Have directed organic social creative for a consumer brand, not only listing assets.
- Packaging design direction: dielines, print-ready handoff, 3D mockups in Pacdora.
- Have worked alongside a media buyer and know where creative accountability ends and media accountability starts.
LOCATION & HOURS
- Remote.
- Async by default. 40-hour week across five 8-hour days. At least 6 hours of each day overlap Dubai time (GST, UTC+4).
- We track hours. That log is how your pay is calculated.
- Your rate, your scope and your promotion are decided on outcomes — what you shipped, what it moved in CTR and conversion, and what that movement was worth in revenue to the brand.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Fully remote, permanently. No return-to-office plans, because there is no office to return to.
- Ownership of your projects with zero micromanagement. You are briefed on the outcome, not the steps.
- A fixed annual paid time off allowance.
- Budget for tools, courses and AI subscriptions you can make a case for.
