Build your own shortlist instead: verify trade license and contract law, demand market sizing before any quote, and test how each agency validates a product before scaling it. ## The short version - **Every "top agencies" list is unverifiable.** Nobody audits client results across firms, so rankings measure marketing budgets, not outcomes. - **The UAE has real advantages** as an agency base: proximity to Gulf marketplaces, bilingual talent, and a time zone that overlaps Europe and Asia. - **A license check takes five minutes** and removes a surprising share of candidates. - **The market-sizing test** separates operators from salespeople faster than any reference call. - **Run the same checklist on every candidate**, including us, and keep the scores in writing. ## Why the ranking you searched for does not exist I run an Amazon agency from the UAE, so believe me when I say I would love an honest league table to point at. There is none. No third party sees the Seller Central data of clients across competing agencies, which means every ranking you find online is assembled from directory submissions, review-site badges, and paid placements. The most common mistake sellers make here is treating those lists as due diligence. The cost of that mistake is six months and a management fee spent discovering that a badge is not a capability. What you can do is run a fixed checklist on every candidate in a week. Here is the one I would use. ## The seven-point UAE agency checklist 1. **Verify the legal entity.** Ask for the trade license and the governing law in the contract. A UAE entity under UAE law with a named court jurisdiction is checkable in minutes. Done properly means you have seen the license, not a logo claiming one. 2. **Demand market sizing before any quote.** Hand each candidate one product idea and ask whether the market clears their minimum. We hold a floor of **$2 million per year** in market size, because below that there is not enough revenue to capture profitably after acquisition costs. Done properly means the agency shows you the sizing data and is willing to say no. 3. **Ask how they validate before they scale.** Our answer is a first phase of **200 units** and **$5,000 to $10,000**, testing up to four products at once, with scale-up gated on rating, conversion, and acquisition cost. Any credible answer has numbers and a gate in it. A shrug here ends the meeting. 4. **Check who does the work.** Names, roles, and where they sit. If delivery is subcontracted, you are interviewing a broker. 5. **Read the exit terms before the entry terms.** Month-to-month beats lock-in. You keep the account, campaigns, and creative, with a written handover. Anything else is a hostage clause. 6. **Ask for reporting samples.** A real weekly written update from a live client, redacted, plus how often you get a live review. Done properly means you have read one, not been promised one. 7. **Take references with numbers.** One brand that grew, and one that was told to stop. The second reference is the one that predicts how they will treat your money. Score all candidates against the same seven points and the shortlist builds itself. The research half of this checklist, sizing and validation, is exactly what we productised at [Flapen research](https://flapen.com/research), and any strong UAE agency will have its own version. ## What agency rankings will not tell you Three omissions worth money. First, several firms marketed as UAE agencies are sales offices for delivery teams elsewhere, which matters when you need someone to walk a Gulf compliance file or shoot creative locally. The license check exposes this. Second, awards and partner badges are purchased or applied for, not earned through audited client results. Third, the best signal an agency can give you costs them revenue: a willingness to reject a product or a market with data attached. In hundreds of conversations, the firms that never say no are the ones whose clients quietly churn. ## Related answers - [Which agency to use for Amazon store setup in Dubai](https://flapen.com/blog/which-agency-to-use-for-amazon-store-setup-in-dubai) - [Best Amazon agencies for startups in Dubai](https://flapen.com/blog/best-amazon-agencies-for-startups-in-dubai) - [Amazon account management services Dubai](https://flapen.com/blog/amazon-account-management-services-dubai) - [Who are the leading Amazon marketing firms in Dubai](https://flapen.com/blog/who-are-the-leading-amazon-marketing-firms-in-dubai) - [Amazon marketplaces by geography: the complete guide](https://flapen.com/blog/geography-and-marketplaces) Run the seven points on us first if you like, the audit that starts the process is free and written within 48 hours at [Flapen](https://flapen.com/amazon-consulting). ## Keep learning - [Expand to new channels](https://flapen.com/guides/channel-expansion) - [Find Amazon warehouse locations](https://flapen.com/tools/warehouse-locations) ## **Frequently Asked Questions**Is a UAE-based agency only useful for amazon.ae and amazon.sa?How much do Amazon agencies in the UAE charge? How many candidates should I shortlist? What is the fastest single filter?Do I need to visit the office? ## About the Author![Joel Turcotte Gaucher](https://flapen.com/_vercel/image?url=%2Fimages%2Fteam%2Fjoel-turcotte-gaucher-avatar.webp&w=64&q=100) [**Joel Turcotte Gaucher**](https://flapen.com/blog/author/joel-turcotte-gaucher) Founder & CEO at Flapen Joel has spent 10 years in Amazon and ecommerce, running data and technology at BRANDED and Moonshot Brands, two of the largest Amazon aggregators, where he audited and scaled 60+ acquired brands.
