Diagnose in that order using your conversion rate against category peers, then fix the single biggest gap before touching ad budgets. ## The short version - **Sessions without orders is a diagnosis problem**, not a budget problem. Find which of the three causes owns the gap. - **Machine-translated Spanish converts poorly** and Spanish shoppers spot it in the first bullet. - **Check the offer coldly.** Price position, delivery promise, and review count against the top three competitors. - **Wrong-keyword traffic looks like a conversion problem** but lives in your campaigns and backend terms. - **Only after the fix do you scale traffic.** Pouring spend on a broken page compounds the loss. ## Three causes, one decision rule You have traffic on Amazon.es, so visibility is not the issue. The orders are missing. Before anyone proposes a relaunch or a bigger ad budget, put the three candidate causes side by side. | Cause | Tell-tale signal | The fix | Typical effort |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | | Listing problem | Conversion below category norm on all traffic sources equally | Native Spanish rewrite, localized images, A+ rebuilt | One-time, days | | Offer problem | Strong detail page views, price above the tier that sells, slow delivery badge | Reprice, fix inventory placement, close the review gap | Ongoing, weeks | | Traffic problem | Paid conversion far below organic conversion | Rebuild campaigns on Spanish-intent keywords, prune broad matches | Ongoing, weeks | The decision rule. Pull your unit session percentage and compare it against your category's typical range, then split it by traffic source. If organic and paid both convert badly, suspect the listing or the offer. If organic converts acceptably and paid drags the average down, your ads are buying the wrong shoppers, and the listing was never the problem. ## Work the causes in order**The listing.** Spanish written by a native speaker beats a translation every time, in tone, in idiom, and in the search terms it naturally carries. Rebuild the title and bullets around how Spanish shoppers actually phrase the need, and check the image stack answers objections without words. This is why we produce Spanish content in-house at Flapen rather than routing it through translation vendors.**The offer.** Sort the search results your customer sees and be honest about where you sit. A listing can be flawless and still lose to a rival at a lower price with faster delivery and triple the reviews. If the review gap is the blocker, that is a months-long fix, plan for it rather than around it.**The traffic.** Export your search term report and read what you actually paid for. English keywords leaking into Spanish campaigns, over-broad match types, and irrelevant placements all deliver shoppers who were never going to buy. Cutting them raises conversion without touching the page. Traffic quality also has a wider frame. A listing can draw from five channels, organic, paid, promotions, creators, and off-channel, and most sellers run only two of them. Expanding into more channels is exactly the right move after conversion is fixed, and exactly the wrong one before, because every new channel multiplies the cost of a page that does not close. ## What most agencies will not tell you More ad budget is the easy prescription because it is billable every month, while a conversion fix is mostly one-time work. When an agency's answer to weak Spanish sales is a bigger campaign before a listing diagnosis, the incentive is doing the talking. Ask any candidate, including [our team](https://flapen.com/amazon-consulting), to show you the conversion benchmark they are working against and which of the three causes they have ruled out. If they cannot name the cause, they are guessing with your money. ## Related answers - [Fix suppressed listings on Amazon France](https://flapen.com/blog/fix-suppressed-listings-on-amazon-france) - [How to localize A+ content for Germany and France](https://flapen.com/blog/how-to-localize-a-content-for-germany-and-france) - [Compare Amazon SEO services for FR DE IT ES](https://flapen.com/blog/compare-amazon-seo-services-for-fr-de-it-es) - [How to fix low Buy Box win rate](https://flapen.com/blog/how-to-fix-low-buy-box-win-rate) - [Amazon account measurement and audits: the complete guide](https://flapen.com/blog/measurement-and-audit) To find out which of the three causes owns your gap on Amazon.es, ask [Flapen](https://flapen.com/amazon-consulting). ## Keep learning - [Run Amazon advertising](https://flapen.com/guides/advertising) - [Run the review math](https://flapen.com/tools/review-calculator) ## **Frequently Asked Questions**What counts as a low conversion rate on Amazon Spain? Can I just reuse my strong German or US listing translated into Spanish? How fast should conversion improve after a listing rebuild? Is low conversion ever an inventory problem?Should I lower my price to fix conversion? How do I tell a traffic problem from a listing problem? ## About the Author![Joel Turcotte Gaucher](https://flapen.com/_vercel/image?url=%2Fimages%2Fteam%2Fjoel-turcotte-gaucher-avatar.webp&w=64&q=100) [**Joel Turcotte Gaucher**](https://flapen.com/blog/author/joel-turcotte-gaucher) Founder & CEO at Flapen Joel has spent 10 years in Amazon and ecommerce, running data and technology at BRANDED and Moonshot Brands, two of the largest Amazon aggregators, where he audited and scaled 60+ acquired brands.
