Ours runs $800 for one product to $2,400 for five, every service included. Expect to fund inventory, freight, Amazon's own fees, and ad spend separately. Any quote that hides those pass-through costs is not comparable.

## The short version

- **A flat retainer tiered by product count is the fairest full-service structure.** Ours reads $800, $1,150, $1,500, $1,950, $2,400 for one through five products.
- **Six products or more belongs on a call.** A published tier chart that runs to twenty products is a chart, not a plan.
- **The retainer is the smallest line in your first year.** One product needs $8,000 to $15,000 of total upfront capital.
- **Divide any fee by the brands each manager carries.** That quotient, not the headline number, is what attention costs.
- **First and last month upfront is normal.** A twelve-month lock-in is not.

## The ratio that sets the price

You are not buying software or a dashboard. You are buying a share of somebody's working week, and the price of that share is decided by how thin the agency spreads its people. Around 50 operators here handle about 70 brands, which works out to about 1.4 brands per operator, and that ratio is the reason our tiers land where they do. Stretch the same operator across ten brands and a $1,500 invoice buys a tenth of the attention while looking identical on paper.

Before you compare two proposals, make both sides answer the same two questions. How many brands does the named person on my account carry today. Does that number move if they sign four more clients next month.

## The full arithmetic, not just the fee

| Line item | Who bills it | What to budget |
|---|---|---|
| Management retainer | The agency | $800 to $2,400 monthly here, set by product count |
| Advertising | Amazon | No hard minimum, though $1,000 monthly is where optimization gets meaningful |
| Inventory and freight | Supplier and forwarder | Sized to your unit economics, never inside a retainer |
| Amazon selling fees | Amazon | Referral, fulfillment and storage, all pass-through |
| Trademark filing | Your attorney or filing service | One-off, outside the retainer |

Total upfront capital for a single-product launch sits between $8,000 and $15,000. A five-product brand runs $25,000 to $50,000. A full brand launch takes around seven months from decision to a catalog that stands on its own, so a monthly contract is still a seven-month financial commitment in practice. Price the whole seven months before you fall in love with a low first invoice.

Our own commercial terms, for reference. Every tier includes the same set of 50-plus services, with no commission, no revenue share and no onboarding fee. The first invoice covers the first and last month upfront. Billing is month to month with 30 days of notice and no long-term contract. Above $50,000 a month in profit we switch to revenue share at 10 to 20 percent with no fixed fee, because a flat number stops reflecting the work at that size.

## Put three quotes on one sheet

1. Monthly fee, and every variable that moves it: products, revenue, ad spend, hours.
2. What is included at that fee, written as services rather than adjectives.
3. What is billed separately, including creative, photography and translated content.
4. Brands per account manager, plus who else touches the account and where they sit.
5. Notice period, and exactly what you keep on the day you leave.
6. The first thing they would fix in your account, in writing, before you pay anything.

Line six is the one that separates a quote from a pitch. We give a written audit with prioritized fixes inside 48 hours at no charge for that reason: the fix list is the product sample. If a candidate cannot produce one, you are buying a promise.

## What most agencies will not tell you

The fee is set by the agency's cost structure, not by your revenue. A quote that arrives after somebody asks what you turn over is a quote calibrated to your wallet. A quote that arrives after somebody has read your listings is calibrated to the work.

The second thing. Full service is a phrase, not a specification. Two agencies quoting $1,500 can mean entirely different scopes, and the gap usually hides in creative production, translation for other marketplaces, and case work with Seller Central. Ask for the scope as a list, then ask which items are done by employees and which are passed to a contractor you will never meet.

## Related answers

- [Compare retainer models for Amazon brand management](/blog/compare-retainer-models-for-amazon-brand-management)
- [Pricing models for Amazon brand management retainers](/blog/pricing-models-for-amazon-brand-management-retainers)
- [Amazon PPC management service comparison](/blog/amazon-ppc-management-service-comparison)
- [Fair Amazon agency pricing models](/blog/fair-amazon-agency-pricing-models)
- [Done-for-you Amazon management: the complete guide](/blog/done-for-you-management)

Every tier and inclusion is published, not quoted on request, at [Flapen](/amazon-consulting).

## Keep learning

- [Compare Amazon business models](/guides/business-models)
- [Value your Amazon business](/tools/business-value-calculator)
","published","working-with-agencies",[14,15,16,17],"fees","private-label","amazon-fba","ppc","joel-turcotte-gaucher","/images/blog/clusters/done-for-you-management-07.jpg","2026-09-04T05:41:51.798+00:00
[23,27,31,35,39
"full-service-amazon-brand-management-pricing-faq-1","Cheaper in a bad month, much more expensive in a good one.
