![Flapen cover for BTR Media vs Flapen for Full-Service Amazon Management: a Flapen operator marking milestones on a blank wall calendar at a sample table](https://flapen.com/_vercel/image?url=%2Fimages%2Fblog%2Fclusters%2Froadmaps-and-capital-01.jpg&w=1536&q=100) BTR Media presents itself on its website as a retail media agency that connects strategy, technology, and creativity across every major retailer. Flapen is a full-service Amazon agency that also sources and launches brands from zero, staffed by 50 operators carrying about 1.4 brands each. The eight rows below set both models against the same questions. ## The short version - **BTR Media states a retail media scope.** Its site names Amazon Advertising, Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, and Instacart Ads. - **The marketing plan has its own page.** The team drafts it, then reviews it live. - **No fee appears on the captured pages.** As of September 2026 you have to ask. - **Flapen publishes attention as a ratio.** 50 operators, about 70 brands, about 1.4 each. - **Flapen launches brands, then runs them.** Guangzhou sourcing, Dubai creative, nothing subcontracted. ## What BTR Media says it offers Every statement below is taken from two btrmedia.com pages captured on 5 September 2026. The home page title states that the company builds the future of retail media together with its brands. Its meta description states that it is a retail media agency built for today's brands, connecting strategy, tech, and creativity across every major retailer. The headline states that a brand does not need a bigger team so much as a BTR one. Four headings pair a comparative form with one word each: relationships, transparency, trust, and results. Two more state that the team cares about the work and the people behind it, and that retail media is not one size fits all. Five headings name the places it buys media: Amazon Advertising, Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Instacart Ads, and retail media expansion. The marketplaces it names beside Amazon are Walmart and Target.com, as of September 2026. The services those pages name include advertising, DSP, launch, creative, audit, Walmart, and Target work. Technology gets a section headed by a line stating that the tech came from doing the work. Under it sit a system running in the background, reporting built around the brand, and a view of where it stands. The second captured page is titled Build a Marketing Plan. Its description states that a brand gets a custom retail media strategy showing channel mix, budgets, audiences, and a roadmap. Seven headings list what the plan covers, among them conversion and efficiency, visibility and share of voice, campaign structure, and creative direction. That page numbers the process in three steps, as of September 2026. You share your goals, the team drafts the plan, then the two of you review it live. Neither captured page states a price, a fee model, a partner badge, or a founding year. The second page describes a service, not a price list. ## What Flapen offers Read the exit terms first. On the day you leave us you keep the Seller Central account, the campaigns, the creative, and a written handover, on 30 days of notice. Our fifty operators sit on our payroll and carry about 70 brands between them, about 1.4 each. Nothing is subcontracted. Sourcing and quality control run out of Guangzhou, creative out of Dubai. That scope is [Amazon brand management](https://flapen.com/amazon-brand-management), from $800 a month for one product to $2,400 for five, all 50+ services at every tier, no commission. [The system](https://flapen.com/system) runs five steps: market, product, traffic, plan, launch. A market clears $2 million a year with returns under 8% or we do not quote it. The product is built for 0.2 stars above the niche average. Phase 1 goes live on 200 units and $5,000 to $10,000. [The science page](https://flapen.com/science) publishes 193,753 niches scored at the 2026-08-26 capture, 4.8% passing, plus the thresholds we got wrong. Our operators work inside tools we built for ads, marketing, and brand valuation, on the data layer [our platform](https://flapen.com/flapen-ai) serves to 15,000 sellers a month. Every task they do becomes an SOP that trains the agents. ## Side by side | | Flapen | BTR Media |
| --- | --- | --- | | Who does the work and where | 50 operators, in-house, Abu Dhabi, Guangzhou, Dubai | not published as of September 2026 | | Brands per account manager | about 1.4 | not published as of September 2026 | | Launch a brand from zero | yes, [Amazon FBA Launch](https://flapen.com/amazon-fba-launch) | site names launch among its services | | Sourcing and creative | in-house studios | site names creative direction | | Advertising | in-house, ACoS targets by product stage | site names Amazon Advertising, DSP, Walmart Connect, and Target Roundel | | Technology | own tools, own data layer | site names a background system and reporting | | Pricing model | $800 to $2,400 a month, everything included, no commission | not published on the captured pages as of September 2026 | | Contract and exit | month to month, 30 days, you keep everything | not published as of September 2026 | Right column from the two btrmedia.com pages in Sources, captured 5 September 2026. An unstated item reads not published. ## Where BTR Media may be the right fit Fit follows what a company states it focuses on, and this is fit alone. Its site names Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, and Instacart Ads beside Amazon Advertising, so a brand stocked across those retailers sees its own shelf described. A brand whose next decision is a channel mix and a budget can ask for the plan that second page describes. A heading named BTR University sits on the home page, beside an invitation to join the BTR community. ## A brand we launched and run Every store on flapen.com/results was built and launched through Flapen's Amazon FBA service. [Grady's Pitching School](https://flapen.com/results/gradys-pitching-school) sells baseball training equipment on Amazon, and Flapen runs the account for them. The figure published beside it is +30% year over year. The outcome line reads: _Untangling self-competing ad campaigns cut ACoS five points while sales rose 20% and held three months over profit target._ Finding that market and landing the first 200 units is [Amazon FBA Launch](https://flapen.com/amazon-fba-launch). ## How to test both of us Send these six questions in writing to everyone on your list, mine included, ordered by what each failure costs. | Failure it catches | Question | A full answer |
| --- | --- | --- | | Manager carries twenty brands | How many brands does my account manager carry? | A ratio. Ours is about 1.4 | | Nobody owns the stop decision | What would make you tell me to stop a product? | Four signals over 60 to 90 days | | Work goes to strangers | Who does the work, and in which city? | Employed roles and named locations | | Fee rises with your spend | Flat fee, or tied to sales or ad spend? | One number, then the service list | | Scope shrinks after signing | What is included at my tier? | Services listed, never a package name | | You leave without your history | What do I keep on exit, and on what notice? | Account, campaigns, creative, notice in days | Score a specific answer, and a refusal as zero. If we do not clear your bar, hire somebody else. ## What most agencies will not tell you No agency is a neutral witness about a competitor, mine included, so read the rows, not the adjectives. | Failure mode | What it costs | The early signal |
| --- | --- | --- | | Attention spread thin | Months of drift at a flat monthly fee | The weekly update repeats itself | | No owner for the stop decision | Cash feeding a product that ended in month four | Nobody names the window that ends it | | Execution handed to vendors | Every fix takes a round trip | The people on the call are not on the file | | Exit terms written last | Rebuilding campaigns from screenshots | Notice is named, what you keep is not | Row one is the one nobody volunteers. ## BTR Media alternatives Four structures cover this decision, and the structure matters more than the name on the invoice. Full service puts one team on the whole account for a fee. A specialist takes one function, an in-house hire moves the knowledge onto your payroll, and a platform sells data and leaves the work with you. ## Related answersGo deeper [~~Bullseye Sellers vs Flapen~~](https://flapen.com/blog/bullseye-sellers-vs-flapen)· [~~Azzgency vs Flapen~~](https://flapen.com/blog/azzgency-vs-flapen)· [~~How to choose a full-service Amazon partner~~](https://flapen.com/blog/how-to-choose-a-full-service-amazon-partner)· [~~Compare Amazon PPC agencies with full-service agencies~~](https://flapen.com/blog/compare-amazon-ppc-vs-full-service-agencies)· [~~Flapen compared with other Amazon agencies: the complete guide~~](https://flapen.com/blog/flapen-vs-other-amazon-agencies) ## Sources - [BTR Media, a retail media agency](https://www.btrmedia.com/) - [Build a Marketing Plan](https://www.btrmedia.com/marketing-plan) Last verified 5 September 2026.
