![Flapen cover for Amazon Sellers UAE and the Team Behind the Account: packing an overseas shipment at a warehouse bench](https://flapen.com/_vercel/image?url=%2Fimages%2Fblog%2Fclusters%2Fgeography-and-marketplaces-01.jpg&w=1536&q=100) Two numbers decide this for a seller based in the United Arab Emirates or entering it, and neither is the address on the proposal. The first is whether your category clears $2M a year in the market you are entering. The second is whether the people running your account are employees or subcontractors. ## The short version - **The address on the proposal is the least useful line in it.** Score who does the work, where they sit, and how much is subcontracted. - **The market floor comes before every other question.** A category under $2M a year cannot be captured profitably once the cost of customer acquisition is paid. - **We run from Abu Dhabi, with sourcing and quality control in Guangzhou and a creative studio in Dubai.** 50 operators run about 70 brands by hand and nothing leaves the building. - **Registration steps, fee schedules, and tax treatment belong in your own account.** Confirm each one there before you plan around it. - **The stop rule is written before the first order ships.** Kill Criteria read four signals over 60 to 90 days. ## The market decides this before the address does A category has to turn over $2M a year before it is worth entering. Below that floor there is not enough revenue to capture profitably once you have paid for the customer. That number does not soften because your office sits in the same country as the buyer. We scored 193,753 niches at the 2026-08-26 capture and 4.8% of them passed. 90+ data points sit behind each verdict, and a return rate under 8% is the line where margin survives. Validation runs the same arithmetic wherever you decide to sell. Phase 1 commits 200 units and $5,000 to $10,000, and it tests up to 4 products at once. It exits on three milestones: rating, conversion rate, and cost of customer acquisition. The local mechanics are missing from this page on purpose. Registration steps, fee schedules, and tax treatment move, and your own account is the only place they are true for you. Confirm every one of them there before you plan around them. ## The scorecard for a team on the ground Sellers at $5K to $30K a month describe the problem in one line. _"I'm spending money on ads but don't know if it's working."_ That is a staffing answer long before it is a marketplace answer. Score every candidate against the same six lines, ours included. The weights below are a starting point and yours to change. | Criterion | What full marks look like | Weight |
| --- | --- | --- | | Market size where you sell | The category clears $2M a year and grows year over year | 30 | | Who does the work | Named employees on one payroll, nothing subcontracted | 25 | | Sourcing and quality control | Inspectors who see your goods before they ship, on that payroll | 15 | | Creative | A studio that photographs your product rather than a stock library | 10 | | The weekly read | A written update every week, a live review every two weeks | 10 | | The written stop rule | Kill Criteria on four signals, with the window agreed in writing | 10 | Flapen figures as of September 2026. The weights are yours to set before you score anyone. Here is our answer to line two, and it is checkable. Flapen is headquartered in Abu Dhabi, with sourcing and quality control in Guangzhou and a creative studio in Dubai. 50 operators run about 70 brands by hand, and 100% of the work is in-house. The fee is priced by product count, never by marketplace count. One product is $800 a month and three are $1,500, with all 50+ services included and no commission. A three-product brand at $20,000 a month carries a management line of 7.5%. Set the pass mark yourself before the first call, 70 out of 100 or any bar you can defend. Score every firm on the same six lines, and treat anything under your bar as a no, mine included. ## The weekly read and the written stop rule Full marks on line five of the table have a specific shape. You get a written update in Slack every week and a live review every two weeks. After onboarding the account costs you about 2 hours a month, and 4 to 6 hours a week while a product is launching. Every live product faces one of three decisions, and Scale / Fix / Kill names them. Four signals decide which: rating trend, return rate, conversion rate, and cost of customer acquisition trajectory. Kill Criteria are that call written down before the money is at risk. If the four signals do not improve inside the defined window, usually 60 to 90 days, the product stops. Ask any candidate what would make them tell you to stop. Ask what the paperwork does on the day you disagree. Ours runs month to month on 30 days' notice, and on exit you keep the account, the campaigns, the creative, and a written handover. ## What an agency in this market will not tell you Four claims are the hardest to check here, and each has one piece of evidence that settles it. Score them the way you scored the six lines above. A claim with no evidence behind it scores zero, however well it is delivered. | The claim you will hear | The evidence that earns the points | Points |
| --- | --- | --- | | We are local | A trade license you have read, and staff you met by name | 10 | | We are full service | One firm's own employees on sourcing, creative, ads, and reporting | 10 | | We cover every marketplace | The marketplaces that named team worked in last quarter | 10 | | We can grow this product | One market they told a seller to skip, and the sizing that killed it | 10 | Flapen figures as of September 2026. The bar out of 40 is yours to set before the first meeting. Row one is where the money hides in this market. A sales office and a delivery team can share an address and no staff at all. Row four costs an agency revenue to answer honestly, so it predicts behavior better than any reference call. A firm whose income starts when you enter a market has no reason to call the category too small. Hold us to that row before you hold anyone else to it. ## Related answers - [Amazon TikTok Shop](https://flapen.com/blog/amazon-tiktok-shop) - [Top rated Amazon creative and A content Dubai](https://flapen.com/blog/top-rated-amazon-creative-and-a-content-dubai) - [Who offers end to end Amazon expansion to Middle East](https://flapen.com/blog/who-offers-end-to-end-amazon-expansion-to-middle-east) - [Amazon marketplaces by geography: the complete guide](https://flapen.com/blog/geography-and-marketplaces) One free thing to do this week, if you run one to three products at $5K to $30K a month. Score capability rather than distance, since a nearby office is not a delivery team. What matters is who writes your listings, who buys your media, and whether either of them is a subcontractor.Do I have to be based in the United Arab Emirates to sell there? That is an account question, so confirm eligibility, registration steps, and fees inside your own account. The operating half of the question reads the same from either side of the border, and it is the half this page answers. What does it cost to have someone else run the account? Our pricing starts at $800 a month for one product and reaches $2,400 for five, with every service included at every tier. There is no commission, no revenue share, and no onboarding fee.How long before I know whether the market was worth entering? Phase 1 answers most of it: 200 units and $5,000 to $10,000, judged on rating, conversion rate, and cost of customer acquisition. If those three are not moving inside 60 to 90 days, Kill Criteria answer the question for you. What should I ask about subcontracting before I sign? Ask for names, roles, employer, and city for everyone who will touch the account, then ask which parts of the work leave the building. Frameworks built across 500+ brands are worth nothing to you if the person applying them was hired last week by somebody else.![The Flapen Weekly Product Research report, an Amazon niche shortlist scored 0–100 with its score radar on the cover](https://flapen.com/_vercel/image?url=%2Fimages%2Fhomepage%2Famazon-product-research-report-dark.webp&w=640&q=100) The weekly niche report ## Product research, in your inbox Every niche that cleared the bar this week.
