![Flapen cover for Amazon Review Policy and Who Owns the Read on Your Account: a Flapen operator briefing the photographer in front of a board of blank cards](https://flapen.com/_vercel/image?url=%2Fimages%2Fblog%2Fclusters%2Fdone-for-you-management-05.jpg&w=1536&q=100) Read it inside your own account and confirm it before any review program. Then run this as an operating decision rather than a compliance topic. One named person owns the read, rating and review velocity get read weekly, and a written stop rule fires when the rating drifts under the lead the product was engineered for. ## The short version - **The read belongs to a person, not an inbox.** Give that name authority over the listing, the packaging brief, and the supplier specification. - **Confirm the rules where they live.** Open them inside your own account before any program starts, and date the confirmation beside the owner's name. - **The weekly read is two numbers.** Rating trend and review velocity, one day each week, against the 0.2 stars above the niche average the product was built for. - **Write the stop rule while the numbers are still fine.** Four signals over 60 to 90 days decide Scale / Fix / Kill: rating trend, return rate, conversion rate, and cost of customer acquisition trajectory. - **The review strategy was settled at the factory.** Our sourcing and quality control run from an in-house Guangzhou studio, on frameworks built across 500+ brands. ## Who owns the review read on your account The expensive failure is almost never a misread rule. It is a queue nobody owns, so the read happens the week something has already gone wrong. The seller who lands here usually puts it this way: _"My product is live but sales are not where they should be."_ That is one to three products at $5,000 to $30,000 a month. The review read answers that sentence, and it works only on a named calendar. Ownership means one operator holds the rating beside the listing copy, the image set, the packaging brief, and the supplier specification. We run about 70 brands with 50 operators here, about 1.4 brands each, so whoever reads the policy can change the product. A responder without those four restates a complaint and nothing else. The policy itself gets read in one place, inside your own account, and confirmed there before any program starts. I will not restate rules from outside your account, because the version that binds you is the one your account shows. ## Symptom, cause, and who fixes it Five things send sellers to this search. Each has a cause somewhere else, and the cause names who can end it. | Symptom | Cause underneath | Who fixes it |
| --- | --- | --- | | Rating drifts under the 0.2-star lead the product was built for | The unit, the packaging, or a promise the listing made | The factory, on a brief your operator writes | | Review velocity falls while orders hold | Velocity is not read weekly, so it surfaces a quarter late | The named operator, in the weekly update | | No one answers a policy question without guessing | The read has no owner and no date | You, by naming the owner this week | | A program set up before anyone confirmed the rules | Speed bought ahead of the confirmation | You, inside your own account, first | | The same complaint repeats for months | A specification problem in a review's clothes | Sourcing and quality control, at the factory | Flapen figures as of September 2026. The 0.2 stars is our build bar. The niche average is yours to measure. Read the right column again. Three of the five rows resolve upstream of Seller Central, so reviews are a sourcing subject here. Our sourcing and quality control sit in an in-house Guangzhou studio on frameworks built across 500+ brands, so a repeating complaint becomes a specification change. Product quality decided at the factory is the review strategy. Everything after it is measurement. ## The weekly read and the written stop rule Two numbers, one day a week. Rating trend says where the product is heading, and review velocity says whether buyers are still talking. Read both beside the return rate and the conversion rate for the same 30 days. Write the stop rule before the month you need it, because nobody writes an honest one mid-quarter. It fires when the rating drifts under the 0.2-star lead the product was engineered for and stays there. Scale / Fix / Kill then reads four signals across 60 to 90 days: rating trend, return rate, conversion rate, and cost of customer acquisition trajectory. The Kill Criteria are the hard half. A rating trend flat or falling, a return rate that will not come under 8%, a conversion rate that does not recover, and a cost of customer acquisition going the wrong way. If none of them move inside the window the product stops, with no emotion. A breach is not a line you can budget for, which is why the read gets an owner rather than a folder. Everything routes through one account: the inventory in fulfillment centers, this month's revenue, and the capital committed to your next order. Price the ownership on published figures. One product costs $800 a month here and three cost $1,500, all 50+ services included and no commission on your sales. ## What most agencies will not tell you about a policy read Run the same three columns on the vendor. The symptom shows in the pitch, the cause sits in their economics, and the last column is a name. | Symptom in the pitch | Cause underneath | Who fixes it |
| --- | --- | --- | | Reviews promised at a stated pace | The vendor prices a decision that was never theirs | You, by refusing to buy a rate | | The policy explained from a slide | The read was never confirmed inside your account | The vendor, on a screen share in your account | | No answer to what would make them stop | A monthly fee earns the same whether a product recovers or limps | You, by writing the stop rule before you sign | | The work handed to a responder with no product authority | The complaint lives at a factory they cannot reach | Whoever holds the supplier brief | | A fee that climbs with your sales | The incentive is volume, and volume carries the complaint | You, at the pricing model, before the first invoice | Flapen terms as of September 2026. Read the last column as the test, never as an accusation. Hold us to every row. Our fee is flat, $800 a month for one product up to $2,400 for five, month to month on 30 days' notice, and on exit you keep the account, the campaigns, and the creative. If your own arithmetic says own this read yourself, own it yourself. ## Related answers - [Amazon Seller Central account creation](https://flapen.com/blog/amazon-seller-central-account-creation) - [Amazon FBA shipping calculator](https://flapen.com/blog/amazon-fba-shipping-calculator) - [Tools agencies use for Amazon keyword research](https://flapen.com/blog/tools-agencies-use-for-amazon-keyword-research) - [Which agency handles Amazon catalog cleanup and reinstatements](https://flapen.com/blog/which-agency-handles-amazon-catalog-cleanup-and-reinstatements) - [Done-for-you Amazon management: the complete guide](https://flapen.com/blog/done-for-you-management) One free thing to do this week. Inside your own account. Open it there and confirm it before any review program starts, because that is the version binding the account you sell from. The owner writes the confirmation date beside their name.Who should own the review policy read in a one to three product brand? The person who can change the product. That means authority over the listing copy, the image set, the packaging brief, and the supplier specification. Anyone without those four only reports the complaint back to you. What does a policy breach cost a seller of my size? The exposure is not a fee, it is the account everything else runs through. Weigh it against the units in fulfillment centers, this month's revenue, and your next order. Confirm what follows a breach inside your own account first. Can an agency promise reviews under the policy? Nobody sells a decision Amazon makes. What you can buy is the change that stops next month's units earning the same complaint, proven by the reviews that follow. Ask a candidate what supplier change they briefed last quarter and what the rating did afterwards.![The Flapen Weekly Product Research report, an Amazon niche shortlist scored 0–100 with its score radar on the cover](https://flapen.com/_vercel/image?url=%2Fimages%2Fhomepage%2Famazon-product-research-report-dark.webp&w=640&q=100) The weekly niche report ## Product research, in your inbox Every niche that cleared the bar this week.
