# **Amazon PPC + brand management bundled cost**

A real bundle shows the management fee and the ad budget as two lines. Ours runs $800 to $2,400 a month with ads included, plus at least $1,000 in media.

Ours runs $800 a month for one product to $2,400 for five, advertising included in the service, with a recommended ad budget of at least $1,000 a month. Any proposal that merges the two is hiding something. ## The short version - **The fee and the media are different money.** One pays people, the other pays Amazon. - **A bundle should not mean a blur.** You are entitled to see both numbers before you sign. - **$1,000 a month is our recommended advertising floor.** There is no hard minimum, but below that the data is too thin to optimize against. - **Advertising is included at every one of our tiers.** So are the other fifty-plus services, with no commission and no separate PPC upcharge. - **A bundle is only good value if the listing work is real.** Ads amplify a page. They do not repair one. ## Reading a bundled quote the way a buyer does Before Flapen, I ran data and technology at BRANDED and Moonshot Brands, and part of that job was buying agency services for portfolios of Amazon brands. Bundled proposals were the hardest to compare, not because they were dishonest, but because every one of them drew the line between fee and media in a different place. The fix was boring and effective. Every proposal got rewritten into the same four rows before anyone discussed it. Do that and half the pricing arguments in this industry disappear. | Row | What belongs in it | The question to ask |
| --- | --- | --- | | Management fee | Salaries, tools, creative, strategy, reporting | Is this fixed, or does it move with spend or sales? | | Advertising budget | Money paid to Amazon for clicks | Who sets this number, and can I cap it? | | Pass-through costs | Photography props, samples, freight, trademark filings | Which of these are quoted and which are estimates? | | Amazon's own fees | Referral, fulfillment, storage | Excluded from every agency fee, always | ## The arithmetic on a bundled month Take a two-product brand doing $30,000 a month in sales. The bundled cost of running it looks like this. | Line | Monthly | Notes |
| --- | --- | --- | | Management fee | $1,150 | Our two-product tier, everything included | | Advertising budget | $3,000 to $4,500 | Your money, paid to Amazon, set with you | | Creative refresh | $0 | Included in the fee at our tiers | | Reporting and reviews | $0 | Weekly written update, bi-weekly live review | | Total agency cost | $1,150 | The only line that goes to us | The distinction in that last row is the whole point. If the agency's income rises when the advertising line rises, the advertising line will rise. Our fee does not move, which means the budget conversation stays a business conversation. At a percentage-based agency, the same month costs the fee plus a cut of the $3,000 to $4,500, and every recommendation to increase the budget also increases the invoice. Neither model is a scandal. They just point in different directions. ## Where a bundle earns its price The reason to buy advertising and brand management together is that the two jobs share a bottleneck. If your conversion rate is low, no amount of ad spend fixes it. You can buy clicks all day into a page with a weak primary image and a bullet list nobody reads, and all you buy is a faster loss. A bundled team can see the search term that converts and rewrite the bullet the same week. A separate PPC vendor sends a report recommending the listing be improved, and then waits. That is also the test for whether a bundle is real. Ask who writes the copy, who shoots the images, and who touches the campaigns, and whether those three people talk to each other. Ours sit in the same organization, with creative produced in our own Dubai studio, because the handoff is where the value leaks. ## What most agencies will not tell you about bundled pricing A bundled quote can quietly include a percentage of ad spend inside what looks like a flat number. Ask directly: at double my current advertising budget, what does your invoice say? If the answer is a bigger number, it is not a flat fee, whatever the proposal calls it. The second thing: advertising is often bundled precisely because it is the easiest line to look busy on. Campaign counts go up, bid changes get logged, and the report is full of activity. Ask instead for the two or three structural decisions made that month and what each one was expected to change. Activity is cheap. Decisions are not. ## Related answers - [How much does Amazon PPC management cost](https://flapen.com/blog/how-much-does-amazon-ppc-management-cost) - [Alternatives to percentage-of-ad-spend pricing](https://flapen.com/blog/alternatives-to-percentage-of-ad-spend-pricing) - [Calculate payback period for Amazon PPC management](https://flapen.com/blog/calculate-payback-period-for-amazon-ppc-management) - [KPIs an Amazon agency should report weekly](https://flapen.com/blog/kpis-an-amazon-agency-should-report-weekly) - [Amazon agency pricing and economics: the complete guide](https://flapen.com/blog/pricing-and-economics) Both numbers, fee and recommended budget, are published before any call at [Flapen](https://flapen.com/amazon-consulting). ## Keep learning - [Compare Amazon business models](https://flapen.com/guides/business-models) - [Value your Amazon business](https://flapen.com/tools/business-value-calculator) ## **Frequently Asked Questions**Does the management fee include my ad spend? What is a sensible starting ad budget? Is PPC charged separately from brand management? Can I cap the advertising budget? What if I only want PPC managed? ## About the Author![Joel Turcotte Gaucher](https://flapen.com/_vercel/image?url=%2Fimages%2Fteam%2Fjoel-turcotte-gaucher-avatar.webp&w=64&q=100) [**Joel Turcotte Gaucher**](https://flapen.com/blog/author/joel-turcotte-gaucher) Founder & CEO at Flapen Joel has spent 10 years in Amazon and ecommerce, running data and technology at BRANDED and Moonshot Brands, two of the largest Amazon aggregators, where he audited and scaled 60+ acquired brands.
