For a seller, the useful question is not what sits inside it but whether the analysis changes a decision you would otherwise get wrong, who runs the query, and what you keep afterward. Score those three answers before you pay anyone to run it.

## The short version

- **AMC is Amazon Marketing Cloud.** Amazon runs it as an analytics environment for advertisers, so what comes out of it is an answer rather than an action.
- **An analysis with no decision attached is a receipt.** Name the decision, the number that triggers it, and the review date before anyone starts work.
- **Ask who does the work and where that person sits.** Analysis is the easiest service to hand quietly to a contractor you will never meet.
- **Nothing we run is subcontracted.** 50 operators work in-house across Abu Dhabi, Guangzhou, and Dubai, alongside an engineering team on the same payroll.
- **You keep what you paid for.** Deliverables become your property on full payment, and we work inside your account through permissions you can revoke.

## The report nobody acted on

The pattern repeats in almost every account I inherit. A seller buys advanced analysis, receives a document, agrees at the meeting that it is interesting, and changes nothing. Three months later the same budget sits on the same campaigns, and the only certain outcome is the invoice.

The mechanism behind that is dull and worth saying plainly. An insight becomes an action when one named person owns it and one written number triggers it. Without both, the sharpest analysis in the category dies in a shared drive.

Flapen runs about 70 Amazon brands by hand from Abu Dhabi with 50 operators, and none of that work is subcontracted. Sourcing and quality control sit in our Guangzhou studio, creative sits in our Dubai studio, and the tools our operators use are built by our own engineers. That is the standard I hold any analysis vendor to, ours included.

Sequence matters as much as capability. Our free account audit reads seven areas first: listing quality, primary image click-through, conversion rate, ad performance, traffic channel activation, pricing, and return rate.

A brand bleeding margin through returns does not need a deeper audience study. It needs the returns fixed.

## Score whoever wants to run the analysis for you

Advanced analytics is sold on vocabulary, which is why the buying decision goes wrong at the same point every time. Put the decision on paper instead. Score any provider, ours included, against the six rows below.

| What you are scoring | Points | A complete answer sounds like |
|---|---|---|
| The person who runs the query, by name | 20 | One name, one employer, and what else that person carries |
| Where that person sits and who pays them | 10 | A city and a payroll, not a partner they work with |
| The decision the output is meant to change | 25 | Budget moved, a campaign stopped, an audience retired |
| The written number that triggers that decision | 15 | A threshold and a review date, agreed before work starts |
| What you keep when the engagement ends | 20 | The report, the definitions, and control of your own account |
| What the analysis cannot tell you | 10 | A stated limit, offered before you think to ask |

Flapen figures as of September 2026.

Those weights are mine. Move them to match how your account earns money, then fix the total you will accept and apply it to every candidate without exception. Write your pass mark down before the first call, because a mark set after the pitch is not a mark.

## Reading the score you produced

The low rows tell you what to do next, and each one points somewhere different.

1. **Rows one and two score low.** Nobody will name the analyst, so you are buying resold labor at a markup. Ask for the name before the second meeting and treat a refusal as the answer.
2. **Rows three and four score low.** The work has no decision waiting for it. Write the decision and its trigger number first, then buy the analysis that informs it, never the reverse.
3. **Rows five and six score low.** The output is rented rather than owned. Get it in writing that deliverables become yours on payment and that access runs through permissions you control.

Every row is the same question wearing different clothes. Who does the work, and where do they sit. Our answer is 50 operators on our own payroll, month to month on 30 days' notice, with the Seller Central account, the campaigns, and the creative staying yours on the day you leave.

## What an analytics vendor will not tell you

Ask one question and score the reply on the spot. Who personally runs this analysis, and what else is on that person's desk this month.

| The reply you get | Points | What it costs you later |
|---|---|---|
| A named analyst on their own payroll, workload stated | 40 | Nothing. You can call the person who wrote the finding |
| A team described as ours, with no name offered | 20 | Findings arrive late and nobody defends a number |
| A specialist partner they say they work with | 10 | A markup, plus a queue you cannot see or escalate |
| A change of subject | 0 | The work was sold before anyone scoped it |

Two things stay unsaid in that conversation. The first is that an analysis retainer renews whether or not it changed a decision, because a subscription is easier to sell than an outcome. Ask what the last three reports changed in the account, with dates and campaign names attached.

The second is the fee model. A fee priced off your ad budget argues quietly against your own margin, so ours does not move with spend at all. It runs from $800 a month for one product to $2,400 for five, every service included at every tier, no commission and no revenue share.

Run that table on us first. If we cannot name the operator who would own your account and tell you what else that person carries, hire someone who can.

## Related answers

- [Amazon ad types](/blog/amazon-ad-types)
- [Amazon ads case studies](/blog/amazon-ads-case-studies)
- [How to choose an Amazon agency in Dubai](/blog/how-to-choose-an-amazon-agency-in-dubai)
- [How to measure organic lift from paid on Amazon](/blog/how-to-measure-organic-lift-from-paid-on-amazon)
- [Amazon account measurement and audits: the complete guide](/blog/measurement-and-audit)

One free thing to do this week.
